optical biasing in direct detection optical-OFDM for improving receiver sensitivity

Optical transmission systems employing orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)
have gained considerable research interest because OFDM can combat fiber chromatic dispersion
[1,2] and has the capability to use higher level modulation formats to increase spectral .

digital video editing: prboelm exporting video to tape?I have prboelms with exporting digital video to camcorder tape after editing on PC. The video on the tape contains jitters, i.e., a short period when the video appears frozen, or noises in sounds. All appears to be due to the non smoothness of transfer. The video plays fine on PC. The DVD made from the video on PC also plays fine. The prboelm is definitely in the transfer process.I am using a pretty modern PC, one year old mid range, with IEEE 1394/FireWire Card. This is regular DV format video, not HD video.I tried 3 different software, all having the same kind of issue (two of the software are not very good in capturing either, dropping frames). I am wondering whether this is due to the FireWire card. The card doesn’t have prboelms with transfer video from digital camcorder. It’s not quite clear to me that the card is OK in importing video to PC, but not OK in exporting video to tape.Could the card be the most likely cause? With PC’s 4GB memory, Core2Duo CPU, SATA hard drive, 60 GB of free storage, I don’t think that the PC is the cause.Thanks.I do no think the camcorder head is the issue.1. I just cleaned the head recently.2. I still use the camcorder to shoot video, and these video have no issues.
